Welcome to your weekly astrology forecast for 12–18 October 2026.

Sometimes we are so busy moving forward that we forget to ask whether we are still moving in the right direction. This week invites us to reflect on our values, reconsider familiar patterns and recognise where patience may be more useful than rushing ahead.

This week offers an interesting symbolic contrast: Venus is moving retrograde through Scorpio, while Mars forms a harmonious trine with Saturn.

One theme invites us to reconsider. The other reminds us of the value of patience and steady action.

So perhaps the question for this week is not simply, "What should I do next?"

But rather, "What deserves my attention before I take the next step?"

Weekly Astrology Forecast: 12–18 October 2026

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio — Looking Beneath the Surface

Venus is traditionally associated with relationships, values, pleasure and the things we appreciate.

In astrology, Scorpio brings themes of emotional depth, trust, attachment and transformation.

With Venus appearing to move backwards through Scorpio, this period can be used as an invitation to reflect.

Are there relationships in which you have forgotten your own needs?

Are you holding on to something because it genuinely matters to you, or simply because it feels familiar?

And perhaps most importantly, have your values changed while your habits have stayed the same?

There is no need to make dramatic decisions simply because a planet is retrograde.

Sometimes observation is enough.

12–14 October — Notice Before You React

At the beginning of the week, try paying attention to the situations that stir strong reactions.

We all have moments when something small reminds us of something much bigger.

Instead of immediately responding, ask yourself:

Is this about what is happening today, or does it remind me of an older experience?

You do not have to find every answer immediately.

Understanding often begins with noticing.

15–16 October — Mars Trine Saturn

On 16 October, Mars and Saturn form a trine.

In traditional astrological symbolism, Mars represents action, initiative and drive. Saturn represents structure, responsibility and patience.

Together, they offer a useful image: energy with direction.

Imagine someone building a garden.

They cannot make the flowers grow faster by pulling on their stems. But they can prepare the soil, protect the young plants and give them the right conditions.

Our plans can work in a similar way.

This is a good theme for asking:

  • Which project deserves consistent attention?

  • Where am I rushing unnecessarily?

  • What small action could make life easier next week?

Progress does not always have to be dramatic to be meaningful.

17–18 October — The First Quarter Moon

On Sunday, 18 October, the Moon reaches its first-quarter phase.

In symbolic lunar practice, this stage is often connected with reviewing early progress after the New Moon and considering what needs adjustment.

Think back to the beginning of the lunar cycle.

Was there something you wanted to begin, understand or change?

Perhaps you have taken the first step. Perhaps you have realised that your original plan needs more time.

Both observations can be useful.

Instead of judging your progress, look at what you have learned.

What Does This Mean for Your Soul Formula?

The weekly positions of the planets and your personal Soul Formula are not the same thing.

Your Soul Formula is based on your birth information and provides a symbolic framework for exploring your individual qualities, strengths and patterns.

A general weekly forecast cannot tell us exactly how these planetary configurations will relate to your personal Formula.

But it can offer questions worth considering.

Where does your natural determination help you?

Where might you benefit from slowing down?

And where are you ready to approach an old situation differently?

A Thought to Take Into the Week

October is not the season to plant every flower.

Nature has its own rhythm, and so do we.

Some things need attention. Some need patience. And some may need to be released to make room for something new.

You do not need to solve everything this week.

Perhaps it is enough to recognise what truly deserves your energy.
