10 October 2026 New Moon is in Libra,

You agree to help, squeeze another task into your day, and tell everyone you're fine. Then evening arrives — and there is nothing left for you.

Sound familiar?

The 10 October 2026 New Moon is in Libra, in the tropical zodiac. In astrology, Libra is associated with balance, relationships and fairness. Let's use those symbolic themes to choose a few practical habits for the coming lunar cycle.

Not a whole new personality. Just a little more room for yourself.

New Moon October 2026: A Look at the Soul Formula

AstroFD Soul Formula diagram with Mercury, Uranus and Pluto in the centre, and planetary symbols connected by directional arrows.
AstroFD Soul Formula, selected near the New Moon. Read the arrow diagram on the left.

Find the crescent Moon symbol ☽.

Follow its arrow to Venus ♀ — the circle with a small cross underneath, shown in red in this formula.

Then follow Venus’s arrow to Pluto ♇ — the symbol resembling a P joined to an L, also shown in red, inside the outlined central group.

Moon ☽ → Venus ♀ → Pluto ♇.

Use the arrowheads to follow the direction. In this screenshot, the Moon is below Venus; Pluto is to Venus’s left, inside the red outline.

For this reading, I use that chain to explore feelings, values and questions of control. Where do you compromise willingly? Where do you agree because you're afraid to disappoint someone? This is symbolic reflection, not a prediction about everyone's life.

Which habits could you practise this lunar month?

⏸️ Pause before saying yes

“Let me check and get back to you.” Such a small sentence — and so much breathing room! Before accepting another request, check your time, energy and existing commitments. A thoughtful yes is easier to keep than an exhausted one.

🗣️ Make one clear request

Instead of hoping someone notices you're doing everything, ask for something specific: “Could you take care of dinner on Thursday?” Practise describing what you need without turning the conversation into a list of everything the other person has ever done wrong.

⚖️ Check the balance of your week

Once a week, look at your calendar. Is it full of work and other people's needs? Add one appointment with yourself: a walk, music, a creative project or time to rest. Fairness includes how you treat yourself.

🕯️ Care for one small corner

Remember the chair that quietly becomes a second wardrobe? Clear it, or make your table somewhere you actually enjoy sitting. Use what you already have: a favourite mug, a clean surface, a safely placed candle. Beauty doesn't have to arrive in a shopping bag.

📓 Notice what supports you

Write three short lines in the evening: What felt right today? Where did I ignore a need? What am I grateful for? Include yourself in that last answer sometimes. Keeping a promise to yourself counts.

Why start with one habit?

A garden needs care that suits its season. In October, we look at what needs protection and what can wait for another season.

Your life deserves the same attention. Perhaps this month is about strengthening a boundary or making an existing relationship more honest. You can prepare for something important without forcing it to happen today.

Choose one habit, give it a simple place in your day, and notice what happens. If you miss a day, return to it. No punishment required.

A moment before the New Moon

Clear a small space. Put your phone aside. If you like, light a candle safely and say:

“Thank you for the support in my life. May I recognise what matters to me and make room for it.”

Then write one intention you can act on: “This month, I will pause before saying yes.”

These practices may be especially useful if you keep the peace by staying silent, feel stretched by commitments, or want more reciprocity in your relationships. Personal astrological relevance needs a separate reading.
